We offer Escrow Management Designed Just For
Third-Party Reproduction Agreements
An escrow account is a bank account that comes with a person who helps you pay your bills and keep track of spending. The benefit of having an escrow with surrogacy is that the hard work falls on us. We verify all the expenses that leave the account and ensure they are allowable in your Gestational or Donor Agreement.
Managing payments, approving expenses, and deciphering payment schedules written in legalese is a lot for anyone to undertake, especially when you’re dealing with all the other pressures of third-party reproduction. We offer efficient and responsive escrow account management services tailored specifically for surrogacy and egg donation arrangements.
At SEAM, we manage your egg donation or surrogacy funds for you so you can focus on what matters most: bringing home a happy, healthy baby.

What to expect when you work with
Surrogacy Escrow Account Management, LLC:
- Our account setup process is as easy as 1-2-3. Our setup page will give you all the steps to guide you through setup, and our Onboarding Specialist will email you shortly to walk you through the process, answering any questions you have along the way.
- You may fund your account either by check, wire, or a counter deposit at a branch of Capital One. ACH transfer may be available through your bank.
- Your account statement will be up to date and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via a secure document provided to you once your initial deposit is processed.
- All accounts are completely insured to the FDIC limit, and through the agency’s insurance and bonds that protect our accounts.
- Our review team will thoroughly review your Gestational or Egg Donation agreement and create a personalized, confidential disbursement request form for your carrier or donor that specifically follows the terms of your agreement.
- In Surrogacy arrangements, all parties to the Gestational Agreement will have access to all documents related to the account.
- For those who prefer anonymity in their egg donation, to ensure privacy on all sides of your egg donation arrangement, the account statement and request log will be kept separately. The donor and intended parents will not have access to each other’s information. However, if you and your donor are known to each other, you will have the choice to keep your documents together or separated.
- Your carrier, donor, or agency will submit disbursement requests and supporting documentation using the personalized form. Our account specialists will carefully review and scrutinize the documentation to be sure it meets the Gestational or Donor Agreement’s requirements before any disbursements are made.
- Payments to the carrier/donor are made via Direct Deposit, and payments on their behalf can be made via check or credit card to their providers or sent to them so they can make the payments directly. Payments typically are deposited within 1-2 business days of approval.
- If at anytime there will be a delay, the parties can place the account on hold and the duration on hold is not counted against the account time. When the account is able to resume, the duration remaining will be what it was when it went on hold.
- We audit each account at the end of every month and before closing any account. The Accounts Team and our account manager are available to answer any questions about your account that arise.
- Account closure typically happens after the Gestational Agreement’s waiting period ends and after all expected expenses have been taken care of as verified by the Donor or Gestational Carrier. If there was activity within the last 30 days, the account will need to be audited one final time before closing, during the next audit cycle.
